Pepper Tree After School Program

The Pepper Tree School is Stanford's only after-school program. Located in Escondido Village, the program is for children in kindergarten through second grade.

*Pepper Tree is open to all Stanford affiliates, but offers enrollment priority and a reduced tuition rate to Stanford graduate students who are residents of Escondido Village.

Application Information

Program Schedule and Hours 

Pepper Tree is open Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. throughout the academic year. A 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule is offered on most school holidays. 

Additional Care Offerings

Spring break care, summer camp and occasional full day care options are also available when Escondido Elementary School is closed. A four week summer program is also offered in late June/early July.

Tuition Rates

Pepper Tree offers enrollment priority and a reduced tuition rate to Stanford graduate students who are residents of Escondido Village.

Pepper Tree is open to all Stanford affiliates, and the Palo Alto community may also enroll on a space-available basis.  For families who are not graduate students living in Escondido Village, standard tuition rates apply.

Plan B Option

Based on Escondido Elementary School calendar and the Pepper Tree Program Schedule, we have 11“Plan B” days during the 2015-2016 school year. These are days that Escondido Elementary is closed and Pepper Tree will be open for modified hours to facilitate “full day” care of Pepper Tree children.  For more information please see our Plan B Program Description.
