Elder Care

Stanford's elder care and caregiver services are provided in partnership with Avenidas. Avenidas is a multi-service nonprofit agency. It serves individuals 50 and older and the family members and caregivers who assist them. Avenidas identifies, develops and delivers innovative services to enhance the independence, health, and well-being of its clients.

The WorkLife Office coordinates this program for Stanford University. Avenidas materials and other community resources can be sent or faxed to you.

Caregiver Support Group

The WorkLife Office and Avenidas offer a noontime campus support group for those community members who are caregivers or dealing with caregiver issues in their lives. The group meets from 12:00-1:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month in the Conference Room of Building 310. It is highly interactive, with a chance for all participants to share and problems solve together. Diane Wilson of Avenidas facilitates the group. For more information or to enroll, call the WorkLife Office at 723-2660.
